November 26, 2011 | Event Hopping
First destination was in office, made the receipt for collection of the payment for SMX’s event where the fashion show held for the 50th Anniversary of Lions Clubs International.
Badtrip ako nung araw na yan sa kalungkutan. T_T i recorded the ramp of the models and designers for 40 minutes tapos biglang hindi na-save!!! pero i’m sure na sinave ko talaga yon eeee T_T that was supposed to be blogged here. :(( haaayyy…. anyway, madami pa naman kaming Fashion show events e. (pero sayang paren T_T)
Next stop was in Sofitel, brought additional equipment for LEDs that was rented for a ballroom event.
After nyan, Freedom bar with some UPLB friends. :)

November 25, 2011 | Second meeting: EK as a venue
The first meeting that i have attended was on my first day also before going to Meralco Theater. That was about the Globe’s event that will happen on December at Shangri La Makati.
And here’s the second, at Enchanted Kingdom. :) Our client Mr. Jerome wants to add a runway and satellite stage for the existing main stage that was permanently built there and also additional trusses and lights plus the band instruments for their Christmas Party happening on December 16.

Ms. Weng, introduced the equipment that we are supplying to clients. Of course sa umpisa diko makabisado ang mga tawag sa mga yan haha. Anyway, here are some of our babies :D Non-Skid panels (stage), Trusses, LED, Aluminum posts, Pars lights, Band instruments and some of sound controllers (haha dikolam eksaktong tawag e)
November 23, 2011 | First day of work
Me and Ms. Sharon watched MVP Bossing Awards hosted by Paolo Bediones and Tessa Prieto Valdez that was held in Meralco Theater. As part of my training, we checked the crew, stage and the equipment as well if everything’s working good at how to make everything perfect.
Again, what a coincidence! :D kelan lang i’m hoping to get a job from any of Manny V. Pangilinan companies and then boom! dito pa tlga kami nagkita. :D What a chance. I learned about different companies, their histories, and owners! Instead of just doing my job there may bonus pakong ticket to the show (not literally). Sa sobrang saya ko that night, i can’t help but to have tears in my eyes. Tears of joy that is. :’)
Because aside from the fact that it’s related to my course —Business Management, these corporate/business people gave me an INSPIRATION in loving and keeping the things i have and i wanted to have in the future that makes me happy and passionate. No business became successful in just a snap. I believe that HARDWORK and PASSION is really the SECRET to a successful one.

Hi, everyone! :) took me more than month to blog again since i posted the last. been bored kasi for 8months, you know? :p pag walang work, wala mashadong ginagawa, walang mai-blog. :)) well, anyway, i’m glad that i have so many experiences to blog starting this day… and i’m EXCITED! :) i’m gonna share every moment of me with my dream job. :) YES. I’M WORKING NOW!! :D
I’m not a fresh grad. I experienced working while studying and had 2 jobs after i finished college. Sa mga work na yun Part-time and Full time, i tend to experience different situation. I met Stress, Pressure, Culture Shocked from the people i worked with… madame. may masaya, may hinde. may kulang, may sobra. bakit ko sinasabi to? :) Kasi, these experiences made me GROW. :) and i beleive this growth has a purpose. :)
Okay, let’s start. i’m gonna share what and how did i get the JOB… the first step to MY DREAM JOB. <3

Me and my father went to Parañaque to celebrate my Grandma’s 90th birthday together with some relatives. :) I planned to stay after the party because i wanted to attend and apply at the Manny V. Pangilinan Career Fest on the next day. All of his company like PLDT, Smart, Meralco, TV5 etc. will be hiring a lot of job hunter from Nov.21-22.

I arrived around 1:00pm and saw the line of applicants from 3rd to 5th floor of SM Megamall (Mega Trade Hall 3’s side) WOW! Sobrang habaaaa.. then i decided na bukas nalang mag-apply and will wake up earlier para di abutan ng blockbuster na event. :)) While standing in front of the hall, i’m texting my friend Micko for meet up to have some merienda after her work. Suddenly, a curious man approached me and asked “Anong meron jan?”
Me : ahm.. job fair po ni Manny Pangilinan
Man: ahh.. ano balak mo applyan?
Me : hmmm khit ano po. since, ang skill ko naman po ay graphic designing, baka po Graphic Artist pero, kahit ano po talaga okay lang. :)
Man: ano bang course mo?
Me : BS Business Ad po major in management
(chatting more about some educational backgorund/experiences)
Last thing he said “okay, oh sige i’ll go ahead. kapag hindi ka natanggap jan, samin ka mag-apply, hiring kami. ” He gave his and his secretary’s number and told me to contact them and look for “Sharon” if i’m interested. :) No minutes passed, i texted him and ask for their e-mail address so i can send my resume and he didn’t refuse of course. :))
On the way home, Ms. Sharon texted and set me for an appointment on the next day 1:00pm. Alanganin yung na-set na oras for me kasi i’m planning sana na kung hindi ako matanggap sa knila, babalik ako kay MVP :| So, i decided na wag nalang mag-apply kay MVP…

Prepared na prepared para sa interview, nagmaganda ang lola mo shempre. :)) So, yung na nga. I went to Mandaluyong and look for their office. Mr. Ed, the man who i met in SM Mega interviewed me…. luckily, (?) I PASSED! :) bukas daw start na. :D
I’m now an Event Coordinator and responsible for Event’s stages, it’s cost, layout and designs. LOVELY! :) This is the nature of work i liked the most. HINDI BORING. :)) hindi mo mapapansin ang pagod kapag nag-eenjoy ka… plus everyday inspired kapa. :) kaya naman diko maitago ang sayang nararamdaman ko everytime na papasok ako. THANK GOD for giving me this. :)
Oh diba? What a coinsidence. What a CHANCE. an OPPORTUNITY from God na hindi ko napalagpas. ang saya! :) Someone said it’s MY DESTINY daw. Sabi ko, siguro :) kasi, what if tinamad akong pumunta sa fair? what if hindi ako tumayo sa pinagtayuan ko that time? ako parin kaya yung kakausapin ng boss ko ngayon? may trabaho na kaya ako ngayon na gustong gusto ko at enjoy ako?
Everything has a purpose. God gave us chances and let’s not make that chances pass. :) Be Patient. Don’t rush. YOUR LUCK WILL COME IN THE RIGHT TIME. Every person has it’s wonderful FATE only if you have FAITH! hihi <3<3<3
